Clepsydris Privacy Policy

Appify built the Clepsydris as a Commercial application. This SERVICE is provided by Appify and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

Data Use

Clepsydris application does not collect or share any personal information about you. The only exception is when you subscribe to Into the Clouds subscription plan and choose to log in using Google or Apple sign-in. Then the email address used to log in will be stored to authenticate you.

If you choose to use the application, then you agree to the collection and use of anonymous data collected for analytical purposes. Those data might include anonymized gameplay info such as name of the game played, players count, scores and game duration.

This application also connects to the website, so it is important to review its privacy policy. The application collects data publicly available from the website. If you choose to authenticate with BGG through the application, it will collect some private data from your account (such as gameplays history if you want to import it). After authenticating, the application will send play data to the BGG website.

All communication with the website, including authenticating, is done securely over HTTPS.

The application uses the Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics. These libraries collect and transmit information about your device, log information, and user activity. This data is anonymized; we don’t collect or transmit any personally identifiable information.

BoardGameGeek Authentication

If you choose to connect to your BGG account the application will ask you for your username and password. It will only be used once to log in via a secure HTTPS connection. Your password will never be stored anywhere, or used in any other purpose than to authenticate BGG requests. After the first login, the session cookie will be stored and used for further communication with BGG site.

Clepsydris Authentication

If you purchase Into the Clouds subscribtion you will be asked to login anonymously or via Google or Apple sign-in. When singing in anonymously you will be provided with a code that will be used to access cloud data. This option ensures more privacy (email address is not stored in backend service to authenticate user) but makes you cloud data less secure (anyone with code can access them). Using Google/Apple sign-in is a prefered and more secure option. The only data stored by the app is an email address used only for authentication.

Digital Image Storage

When Into the Clouds subscription is purchased Appify offers 5GB storage of cloud photos and cloud database backups. If you cease Into the Clouds subscription for any reason, Appify reserves the right to terminate your account (or any part thereof) and your use of the Services and may remove and discard all images and backups uploaded by you or otherwise made available by you via the Services.

You should always preserve your original Content, or make back-up copies of your Content, on your personal computer system. Do not use the Services as the only repository or single source for your Content. The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” and Appify will not be liable for the loss of any Content.

Images uploaded to the cloud services using Clepsydris are stored securly and are not shared with anyone.

We value your trust in providing us with your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
